When your power goes off, there are a few things you can do to help us in restoring your power as quickly as possible.
·Check your panel box (breaker or fuse box). Make sure that they have not tripped or blown.
·Check your meter! If there is a display, the outage is on the member's end, not the cooperative's.
·If possible, check with neighbors and find out if their power is off. This may help us to resolve the problem quicker.
Call the Cooperative office at 315-893-1851 to report an outage anytime, 24 hours a day - 7 days a week.
When calling weekdays during normal office hours (7:30 am–4:00 pm, Monday-Friday) you will speak directly to Cooperative Member Services Representatives and relay the problem.
Whenever the office is closed, you will speak with our Dispatching Service.
Please give the dispatcher your name, telephone number, map location number (found on bill) and any information that may be notable, such as the location of a tree on the power lines or a broken pole. This information will be recorded and Cooperative personnel will be notified immediately of the problem.
Stay away from downed lines and warn others to stay away. The wires may remain “hot” even though they may be laying on the ground.
If your power comes back on within 10 minutes please call again and let us know.
If your power has been restored and goes out again please call.
Whenever an outage occurs, you may be certain that Oneida-Madison Electric Cooperative personnel are working to restore your power as soon as possible!
We want to thank you in advance for your patience and cooperation.
